What does this mean?
Waterproof 2.x will be discontinued by the end of 2026, and the on board client is no longer available for download. Every vessel still on Waterproof 2.x needs to move to Waterproof 3.0 before then. To get started, reach out to your WSS representative or email us at waterproof@wilhelmsen.com.
Until then, nothing changes on board. The crew can keep using the 2.1.0 client and sending log files to waterproofsystem@wilhelmsen.com, and the monthly reports will keep arriving by email to the configured addresses. Only the online 2.0 portal is no longer available.
Will the crew have to do anything different?
If the installed version of the onboard application is version 2.1.0, the crew can keep registering data and sending log files as before, and you will keep receiving the monthly reports. This changes by the end of 2026, when Waterproof 2.x is discontinued. The 2.1.0 client is no longer available for download, so vessels running an older version can no longer be upgraded - they need to move to Waterproof 3.0 instead.

How do I get access to the PDF reports?
You have 3 options:

Recieve PDF reports via email without access to any Waterproof
application
If you usually accessed the portal to get PDF reports but you now wish to recieve them via email, please request the vessels you would like to see the reports from to ad your e-mail address in the vessel setup page of the onboard application and you will be included in the distribution list of the report. -
Access all PDF reports for your fleet in an online application
You can access all PDF reports based on data registered by the crew by gaining access to the new Waterproof 3.0. Send us an email at waterproof@wilhelmsen.com, and we will give you access. By doing this, you can see an online report library with PDF reports for you fleet but nothing more. -
Transition the whole fleet to Waterproof 3.0 for access to reports and much more
In addition to you gaining access to Waterproof 3.0 to see the report library, you can give all your vessels access to the new Waterproof. If they register their data in the new client instead of the old, you will get warnings, recommendations, data analysis and so much more than just PDF reports. What's new in Waterproof 3.0?
Here are some of the key features in the new version of Waterproof:

No local installation also mean no hassle when Wilhelmsen releases new versions of the application, nor technical issues when upgrading other system software onboard. And cyber security is of course built in by design.
